Washington Nationals defeat Colorado Rockies 13-3

The Washington Nationals defeated the Colorado Rockies 13-3 on Monday night, extending the Rockies’ losing streak to a season-high seven games. The victory marked the Nationals' third consecutive win.

After being held hitless through the first four innings by Rockies starter Ryan Feltner, the Nationals broke the game open in the fifth inning. A combination of hits, a sacrifice bunt, and a fielding error allowed Washington to score five runs in the frame. CJ Abrams provided the go-ahead RBI with a double, and Daylen Lile contributed a home run and five RBIs during the contest.

Cade Cavalli earned his fourth consecutive win, pitching six innings and striking out seven. For the Rockies, Ezequiel Tovar and Willi Castro both hit home runs, but the offense could not overcome the Nationals' surge. The Rockies' Ezequiel Tovar left the game in the sixth inning due to a left wrist strain.
