Washington Nationals sweep Cincinnati Reds with 7-1 win

The Washington Nationals defeated the Cincinnati Reds 7-1 on Sunday to complete a series sweep. Abimelec Ortiz contributed his second career home run to the victory.

Will Dion earned his first win of the year, leading a bullpen performance that allowed only one run across 6 1/3 innings. Dion, a recent trade deadline acquisition from the Guardians, retired the first nine batters he faced. Trevor Williams also pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings, maintaining a 0.00 ERA since returning from elbow surgery in late July. Jacob Young and Andrés Chaparro each recorded two RBIs in the win.
