Washington QB Demond Williams Jr. unlikely to play against Purdue

Washington Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch indicated that starting quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is unlikely to play in the upcoming game against Purdue due to a rib injury. Williams Jr. sustained the injury during the second quarter of the Huskies' 41-24 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes on October 9.

While officially listed as day-to-day, Williams Jr. did not participate in Monday's practice. Backup quarterback Elijah Brown, a transfer from Stanford, took the first-team repetitions. Brown previously saw significant action during the Iowa game, completing 28 of 39 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns after Williams Jr. exited the game.
