Washington State is set to face Fresno State in their Pac-12 conference opener. The Cougars, currently holding a 1-3 record, are looking to address second-half performance issues, specifically regarding defensive fatigue and offensive efficiency in the third quarter.

Fresno State enters the matchup on a three-game winning streak with a 3-1 record. The Bulldogs have averaged 28 points per game and feature a productive offense led by quarterback Jayden Mandal and running backs Rayshon Luke and Bryson Donelson.

This matchup marks a significant return for Washington State head coach Kirby Moore, who previously served as the offensive coordinator for Fresno State for six seasons before departing for Missouri.
