Washington State University hockey loses Apple Puck series
The Washington State University hockey team faced setbacks during the Apple Puck series against the University of Washington. After a strong 6-1 start to the season, including a victory over the Boise Broncos, the Cougars suffered a 9-1 loss in the first game and a 4-3 loss in the second.
A significant factor in the series was the Cougars' lack of composure, resulting in numerous penalties for tripping, hooking, charging, and unsportsmanlike conduct. These penalties allowed the Huskies to capitalize on multiple power plays. The team now prepares for a matchup against Eastern Washington.
