Washington State women's soccer draws scoreless against NDSU

The Washington State University women’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw against the North Dakota State Bison at Dacotah Field in Fargo. The result marks the first draw of the season for the Cougars, moving their record to 1-2-1.

Goalkeeper Sidney Venier earned her first career shutout during the match, making key saves to maintain the clean sheet. Despite recording 12 shot attempts, including three shots on target, Washington State was unable to find the back of the net. North Dakota State goalkeeper Payton Mulberry recorded three saves to deny the Cougars' scoring opportunities.

Coach Chris Citowicki praised the team’s defensive performance, noting their strength in physical matchups and 50-50 balls. The match also featured several first career starts for true freshmen, including Isabella Amado, Calli Holje, Kate Spangler, and Raina Tifft. Washington State will next face UC Irvine on August 27.
