Washington to host economic conference for Lebanon in December

The United States is preparing to host an economic conference for Lebanon, tentatively scheduled for December following Thanksgiving. The event aims to present Lebanese investment opportunities to the American private sector, financial institutions, and the Lebanese diaspora in the United States.

This initiative follows a meeting in July between President Joseph Aoun and Donald Trump at the White House. The upcoming conference is being coordinated between the Lebanese Presidency and the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, with U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa overseeing preparations.

The conference is expected to feature a limited number of Lebanese ministers, specifically those from sectors capable of meeting U.S. market demands, such as public works, transport, artificial intelligence, industry, and energy.
