Washington Wizards re-sign Anthony Gill
The Washington Wizards have re-signed forward Anthony Gill to a one-year contract. While specific terms were not initially disclosed, the deal is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary agreement that includes Exhibit 9 language.
Under the terms of the contract, Gill’s minimum-salary cap charge will not count against the team’s books until the first day of the season, and his full salary will not become guaranteed until the league-wide guarantee date on January 10. Additionally, Gill has waived his right to veto a trade for the upcoming season.
Gill, 34, has been with the Wizards since 2020. He is valued by the organization for his veteran leadership, mentorship of younger players, and versatility in the frontcourt. Last season, he averaged 5.8 points and 2.9 rebounds in 55 appearances, shooting 62.8 percent from the field.
