Akram expressed concern over the massive public celebrations for the player, noting that thousands of supporters mobbed Razaullah at the Islamabad airport. Akram stated that such celebrations suggest Pakistan has ‘accepted mediocrity,’ arguing that the focus should remain on the team's overall failure rather than individual heroics in a losing cause. He suggested the player should have ‘hidden his face’ until reaching home to avoid glorifying a single performance amidst a systemic series defeat.
