Waste collection initiatives announced in Elbląg and Poniatowa
Various waste management and recycling initiatives are being organized in Poland. In Elbląg, the Ogrody Shopping Center will host an ecological event titled ‘Wrzosy za elektrośmieci’ (Heather for e-waste) on October 31. Residents can exchange small or medium-sized electrical and electronic equipment for heather plants, with a limit of four plants per person. The event will also feature an educational stall regarding waste segregation.
In the Poniatowa municipality, a large-scale collection of bulky waste is scheduled throughout November. The initiative covers old furniture, electronic equipment, passenger car tires, and textiles. Residents are instructed to place items outside their properties by 7:00 AM on designated dates. Specific collection schedules have been set for various locations, including Kowala II, Niezabitów, and Poniatowa Wieś, with special arrangements for multi-family housing.
