Waste collection initiatives announced in Pitești and Bistrița

Municipalities in Romania are implementing various waste management and recycling initiatives. In Pitești, Salubritate 2000 SA, in coordination with the Pitești City Hall, is organizing its third free collection campaign of the year for bulky waste and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The campaign runs from September 24 to September 25, with specific collection points located across various neighborhoods including Găvana II, Trivale, and Popa Șapcă. Residents living in houses can request direct doorstep collection for bulky items.

In Bistrița and its surrounding localities, the sanitation operator Supercom SA has scheduled the collection of recyclable paper and cardboard using blue bins for September 9, 2026. Residents are encouraged to use transparent bags for larger quantities of paper waste and are reminded to use the correct bins to ensure effective selective waste collection.
