Waste collection initiatives announced in Poland

Łaziska Górne has announced a collection of bulky waste for single-family residential areas from September 21 to 25, 2026. Residents are instructed to place items such as furniture, sofas, mattresses, and garden furniture outside their properties according to a street-specific schedule starting at 6:00 AM.

Authorities noted that certain items are excluded from this collection, including electronic waste, tires, construction debris, and car parts. For electronic toys, batteries must be removed prior to disposal.

Separately, the retail chain Castorama is running its ‘Flowers for E-waste’ campaign from September 17 to 19, 2026. Customers in Poland can exchange used electrical and electronic equipment for heather seedlings, with a limit of up to 10 seedlings per person, subject to availability.
