Waste management initiatives launched in Bekasi and Banyuwangi

In Bekasi, the municipal government is promoting community-based waste management through neighborhood-level waste banks. Mayor Tri Adhianto emphasized the importance of sorting waste at the household level to address the issue of approximately 500 tons of unmanaged waste daily. The city aims to strengthen environmental management by 2028, focusing on waste banks, biopore holes, and organic waste processing.

In Banyuwangi, East Java, efforts to maintain coastal tourism cleanliness are being supported through beach clean-up activities at Mustika Beach. The Daaz Group participated in the ‘Daaz Beach Clean Up’ initiative, providing trash bins to the local Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). The initiative aims to foster cooperation between companies, tourism managers, and visitors to ensure the sustainability of coastal environments.
