Waste management issues spark complaints in Bardonecchia and Osimo

Residents in Bardonecchia and Osimo are expressing significant dissatisfaction regarding local waste management services.

In Bardonecchia, citizens have reported the unilateral removal of waste bins near Via Sommeiller by the municipality and ACSEL. This decision has forced residents, including elderly individuals and those with reduced mobility, to walk an additional 300 meters to dispose of refuse. Critics argue that the lack of consultation and the absence of alternative collection points create safety risks and constitute an interruption of a basic service.

In Osimo, the 'Osimo 1 - Versante Nord' Neighborhood Council has highlighted ongoing issues with waste bins in the historic center. The council reports that limited bin capacity, small openings, and malfunctioning electronic access cards have led to accumulated trash and urban decay. Despite previous municipal promises to install 37 new pedal-operated bins for organic waste by mid-2026, the installation has not yet been completed, causing hygiene concerns and difficulties for residents.
