Waste management services in Poland utilize selective collection points

Selective Municipal Waste Collection Points (PSZOK) serve as essential facilities for residents to dispose of problematic household waste that cannot fit into standard bins. These sites allow for the safe aggregation of large-scale items, including furniture, mattresses, and bulky electronics, as well as construction debris, tires, and hazardous materials such as chemicals, expired medicines, and batteries.

In Bydgoszcz, mobile versions of these collection points (m-PSZOK) have been implemented to increase accessibility. Since March, these mobile units have served over 2,100 people, collecting significant quantities of tires, textiles, and electronic waste. Residents using these services must provide identification and proof of waste management fee payments. Mobile units are specifically designed for smaller items, such as small household appliances under 5 kg, medical waste like needles, and a limited number of tires per year.
