Waste recycling initiatives launched in various Polish regions

Various waste management and recycling initiatives are being implemented across different regions in Poland.

In the Copper Basin Municipalities Union area, a collaboration with Polkowice Recycling Valley is launching an e-waste collection campaign in schools. Running from September 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, the program focuses on small electronic devices such as toys, mixers, phones, and tablets. The initiative aims to educate students on environmental impact through a competition where schools can win educational materials and sports equipment based on the volume of waste collected.

In Toruń, a mobile selective waste collection point (MPSZOK) is returning to residential neighborhoods starting September 5. The service provides residents with convenient access to dispose of various items, including textiles, expired medications, batteries, small electronics, and hazardous chemicals. This mobile service complements the city's permanent collection points and follows a successful previous round that collected nearly 6 tons of waste.
