WATAF launches US$5.3M project to boost West African tax administration

The West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) has launched the Strengthening Tax Administration Capacity Project in West Africa (STACP-WA). Financed by a US$5.3 million grant from the African Development Bank, the four-year initiative aims to improve domestic revenue mobilisation and build more resilient revenue systems across the region.

The project will directly benefit six countries: Burkina Faso, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. It is designed to support nations facing significant challenges in revenue collection by enhancing their institutional capacity and tax administration effectiveness.
