Wataritama Studio announces VTuber simulation game for Steam

Wataritama Studio has announced ‘Kako de Bazutte VTuber’ (Buzzing as a VTuber in the Past), a VTuber training simulation game scheduled for Steam early access in October 2026. Set in the early days of VTuber culture in 2018, the game tasks players with growing a channel from zero subscribers to viral success over a 53-week period.

A standout feature is the ability to integrate personal avatars into the game using virtual camera software such as OBS or VTube Studio. This allows players to appear directly within the game's streaming and room environments. The gameplay involves managing five core stats—talk, production, gaming, illustration, and singing—while reacting to weekly trends.

The game includes a ‘Reality Mode’ to simulate the struggles of unsuccessful streamers, alongside a time-leap mechanic that allows players to restart with inherited skills. Wataritama Studio has confirmed that both individuals and corporations are permitted to monetize live streams and video content featuring the game without prior application.
