Wataru Kogetsu to discuss Takarazuka career on BS Nippon TV

Former Takarazuka Revue Star Troupe top star Wataru Kogetsu will appear on the BS Nippon TV program ‘Kensaku Morita Hour: Jinsei Kensaku Mado’ on September 5 and 12. In the program, Kogetsu reflects on her career, from her childhood inspiration to join the Takarazuka Music School to her time as a top star and her subsequent performance in the Broadway musical ‘Chicago’.

Kogetsu shared personal anecdotes regarding her entrance exams, noting she drew the number ‘1’ for both the first and second stages. She also discussed the song ‘Story’ by AI, which served as a pillar of support during her transition away from the Takarazuka Revue.

To mark the 20th anniversary of her retirement from the Takarazuka Revue, Kogetsu will hold a special commemorative performance titled ‘Tumble Weed’ this November. The title reflects her current philosophy of living life by letting it flow with the wind rather than strictly defining her future destination.
