Watch industry sees diverse new releases in August

August saw a significant increase in new watch releases, featuring anniversary collections, motorsport collaborations, and artistic designs.

Omega refreshed its Speedmaster 38mm line with seven new references. These models feature round subdials, reduced dial text, and thicker bezels, mimicking the aesthetic of the Moonwatch. Options include steel, 18K Moonshine and Sedna gold, and diamond-set bezels on ice blue or mother-of-pearl dials.

Seiko celebrated its 145th anniversary with a limited edition collection inspired by Edo purple, including an Alpinist and an Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph. Christopher Ward introduced the C60 Trident Biscay, a mid-century inspired diver with a slimmer case and box-domed crystal.

Other notable releases include Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute Enamel watches, which feature hand-painted reproductions of J. M. W. Turner paintings, and IWC’s fourth official team watch for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, featuring a deep purple dial.
