Watchmaker Genomics expands manufacturing capacity in Boulder

Watchmaker Genomics has signed a long-term lease for approximately 100,000 square feet of space in the Flatiron Park business campus in Boulder, Colorado. The new facility, named the Watchmaker Boulder Manufacturing Center of Excellence, is intended to more than double the company’s manufacturing capacity for precision reagents used in genomics and molecular diagnostics.

The expansion will house the firm’s manufacturing, quality, research and development, and operations teams. The site is expected to become operational in the second half of 2027 following completion and qualification. The company anticipates that the expansion will support hundreds of new jobs in Colorado through phased hiring over the coming years.

Watchmaker Genomics develops reagents used in genetic testing, specifically for cancer tumor profiling, as well as for testing inherited and infectious diseases. CEO Trey Foskett stated that the investment in infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities is intended to serve leading genomics and molecular diagnostics companies at a commercial scale.
