Water and sewage infrastructure improvements underway in Tamaulipas
Municipal water commissions in Tamaulipas are conducting various infrastructure projects to improve sanitation and drainage services.
In Altamira, COMAPA Altamira has performed cleaning and desilting of manholes in the Los Obeliscos residential complex and the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood. These efforts, utilizing pressure and vacuum trucks, aim to resolve pipe blockages and provide preventive maintenance to the drainage network. Officials are also evaluating the feasibility of installing additional underground drainage structures in the Santa Anita neighborhood.
In Ciudad Madero, COMAPA SUR is rehabilitating a 120-meter section of a 12-inch diameter general drainage line in the Ampliación de la Unidad Nacional neighborhood. The project, located on Ignacio Zaragoza Street, has reached a progress of 70 linear meters. This work is intended to modernize the sanitary network, reduce the risk of leaks and obstructions, and prevent public health issues caused by wastewater runoff.
