Water conservation appeals issued in Romania and Moldova

In Romania, Apă Ilfov has issued an appeal to users to prioritize drinking water for household and domestic needs rather than intensive irrigation of lawns, gardens, and green spaces. The company noted that excessive simultaneous consumption across multiple households can impact the recovery rate of water reserves and cause pressure variations throughout the community's supply system. Specific recommendations include limiting irrigation, avoiding filling pools during peak periods, and reducing intensive watering sessions.

Similarly, the Ministry of Environment in Moldova is encouraging consumers to avoid waste through simple daily actions, such as reducing shower times and turning off taps when not in use, to contribute to overall water conservation.
