Water infrastructure updates reported in Pescara and Messina

Utility companies in Italy have announced updates regarding water supply services in Pescara and Messina.

In Pescara, the Aca has scheduled two water service interruptions to facilitate PNRR-funded upgrades to the Giardino aqueduct. The first interruption will affect the southern zone, including Viale Pindaro and Via Gabriele d’Annunzio, from the night of August 26 to the morning of August 27. The second interruption will affect the northern zone, including Ponte Rampigna and Via del Santuario, from the night of August 31 to the morning of September 1. For sensitive non-commercial users with accessible storage tanks, Aca will provide water via tanker trucks during these periods.

In Messina, AMAM announced that electrical network repairs in Salice have been completed in collaboration with E-distribuzione. These works were necessary to restore power to the pumping systems at the Pozzo Rizzina infrastructure. As a result, the water supply to the village of Salice has been restored, and service is expected to return to its regular scheduled distribution starting Wednesday, August 26.
