Water Infrastructure Works Disrupt Supply in Belgrade and Vogošća

In Belgrade, Serbia, the municipal directorate for construction and land management is carrying out reconstruction and new installation of water mains on multiple streets in Vračar, Voždovac, Zvezdara, Palilula, Čukarica and Rakovica. The works involve pipelines of various diameters (150‑400 mm) and authorities warn that the age of existing installations and proximity to construction sites may cause temporary water supply interruptions, asking residents to be patient.

In Vogošća, Bosnia and Herzegovina, workers hired by a private investor cut and removed overhead hot‑water pipes at the intersection of the M18 highway and Tome Mendeša Street. Residents formed a group called “Grijanje BAGS” and filed complaints, alleging the removal was illegal and intended to clear space for a restaurant. BAGS‑Energotehnika director Mirsad Jašarević said the action follows a regular procedure and does not threaten the heating season, placing responsibility for permits on the Vogošća municipality.
