Water main break impacts three French communes

A broken water main in Remigny has impacted the drinking water supply for the communes of Remigny, Chassey-le-Camp, and Cheilly-lès-Maranges. The rupture occurred near the Dheune bridge on Monday morning.

While network pressure was restored by Suez following emergency repairs, the Agence régionale de santé (ARS) has not yet declared the water safe for consumption. Although no specific pollution has been identified, the water is currently prohibited for drinking or cooking as a precautionary measure while authorities await analysis of samples, which is expected within 24 to 48 hours.

Local municipalities have organized the distribution of bottled water to residents. In Remigny, collection is available at the town hall during specific midday and evening windows.
