Water main breaks disrupt service in West Kelowna and Studio City

In West Kelowna, British Columbia, a water‑main rupture in the Rose Valley Water Service area caused a loss of pressure and prompted Interior Health to issue a boil‑water advisory for the South Boucherie neighbourhood. Residents, especially children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, were advised to use boiled water for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene. A free bulk‑filling station was made available on Asquith Road.

In Studio City, Los Angeles, an eight‑inch cast‑iron water main burst on Coldwater Canyon Avenue, flooding the street and affecting roughly 40‑60 households. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power restored water service by Sunday morning. No injuries were reported, though a resident described the flood as "loud" and likened it to "Hurricane Harbor."
