Water Pipe Breakdowns Disrupt Communities in Corropoli and Ribera, Italy

In the Corropoli district of Ravigliano (province of Teramo), a rupture in a water main managed by Ruzzo Reti has left two families without service for more than a month. Residents say the fault, which began at the end of June, remains unrepaired despite repeated complaints, prompting calls for urgent municipal action.

In Ribera, Sicily, the irrigation network Castello‑Verdura suffers repeated adduttore failures. The farmers’ group Liberi Agricoltori reports that the Consorzio di Bonifica Ag 3 can supply water only three afternoons a week, and accuses agricultural bodies of ignoring the crisis. President Dino Giovanni D’Angeli warned, “Gli agricoltori sono soli,” and demanded immediate structural interventions.
