Water quality testing reports for bathing sites in Kaišiadorys and Panevėžys

Recent microbiological water quality tests in the Kaišiadorys and Panevėžys regions of Lithuania indicate that most official bathing sites are safe for recreational use.

In the Kaišiadorys district, specialists confirmed that levels of intestinal enterococci and E. coli are within safe limits across 10 locations, including various lakes and ponds. Health officials noted that while current results are positive, water quality can change following heavy rainfall or heatwaves.

In Panevėžys, most city beaches, including those near the Nevėžis river dam and Piniava, meet hygiene standards. However, swimming is currently not recommended at the Culture and Leisure Park ford, where tests revealed E. coli levels exceeding hygiene norms. Repeat testing is scheduled for the affected area.
