Water quality tests confirm safety in parts of Evia and Orchomenos

Recent laboratory tests in various Greek regions have confirmed that drinking water meets safety standards for human consumption.

In Evia, the DEYAKA municipal enterprise released results from samples taken in the Kymi and Kalimeriana areas during August. The agency stated that samples collected directly from consumer taps show findings within the prescribed limits for potable water. DEYAKA emphasized that official laboratory results should be relied upon over unverified claims circulating on social media.

In the Municipality of Orchomenos, the Region of Central Greece reported that samples from the communities of Kastrou, Karyas, Dionysos, Agios Dimitrios, and Agios Andreas comply with parametric values for human consumption. Consequently, the ban on water use in these five communities has been lifted. However, the prohibition remains in effect for the communities of Agios Spyridon and Mavrogia. Further testing will be conducted once the municipality completes necessary cleaning of the water supply system.
