Water restrictions updated for District of Kent and Metro Vancouver

The District of Kent has implemented Stage 2 water restrictions specifically for customers using the Mount Woodside well. Under these rules, lawn watering is limited to specific days and times based on address numbers. Even-numbered addresses may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., while odd-numbered addresses are permitted on Thursdays and Sundays during those same windows. All hoses must use a spring-loaded shutoff device, though hand watering remains an exception.

In a separate regional update, Metro Vancouver is transitioning from Stage 2 to Stage 1 water restrictions effective September 1. This easing of rules is due to reservoir levels being within the typical range for the season. Under Stage 1, residential lawn watering is permitted once per week: even-numbered addresses on Saturdays and odd-numbered addresses on Sundays, with specific morning windows for automatic and manual watering. These restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until October 15.
