Water safety risks in high summer temperatures

Storing water bottles in hot environments, such as parked cars, can impact the quality of the beverage. During summer, car interiors can reach temperatures of approximately 60 °C, which may alter the sensory properties of the water, including its taste and smell.

Experts note that if a bottle has already been opened, high temperatures increase the risk of microorganism multiplication, especially if the person has been drinking directly from it. While short-term exposure of a sealed bottle to sunlight does not pose a significant risk, experts recommend moving beverages to a cool or shaded area to avoid long-term exposure to heat and direct sunlight.
