Ricardo Gallardo Cardona announces infrastructure and housing initiatives in San Luis Potosí

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has launched several infrastructure and social programs in San Luis Potosí. In El Naranjo, the administration invested 38.33 million pesos to rehabilitate the La Ceiba–El Limonal road and renovate the Municipal Sports Unit, benefiting over 50,000 residents.

In Ciudad del Maíz, the “Escritura Segura” program delivered 205 property deeds to families in the Villa Antigua neighborhood, providing legal certainty after more than two decades of waiting. Additionally, the State DIF is distributing cisterns to families in the Altiplano region, including Villa de la Paz, Cedral, and Matehuala, to improve water storage and hygiene.

Regarding housing, the Governor announced that following negotiations with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, over 23.5 billion pesos in Infonavit credits will be allocated to the state. This will be complemented by the “Tu Casa Tu Apoyo” program, which aims to provide 30,000 free land plots to families in need, with construction material packages scheduled to begin distribution in January 2027.
