Water service interruptions reported in Lavinio and Messina

Multiple regions in Italy are experiencing water service interruptions due to infrastructure damage.

In the Anzio area, an unplanned technical failure in a pipe exiting the litoranea nord reservoir has left seven streets in Lavinio and Lido dei Pini without water. The affected streets include Stradone S. Anastasio 1, via dei Gelsi, via Mughetti, via dei Girasoli, via Biancospino, via delle Tuberose, and via Cameliere. The utility provider, Acqualatina, has technicians on-site and expects to restore service by 17:00.

In northern Messina, the utility provider Amam has announced a scheduled four-hour water suspension on Monday, August 10, from 12:00 to 16:00. This is necessary to repair a significant leak along the DN 300 pipeline on the Panoramica road. The interruption will affect several areas, including Curcuraci, Marotta, Faro Superiore, Salita Fosse, Pace, Sant’Agata, Torre Faro, Ganzirri, and Mortelle. Amam has stated that water distribution will be progressively restored following the technical operations.
