Water service suspensions scheduled in Salerno and Messina

Major water service interruptions are scheduled in parts of Italy due to urgent infrastructure maintenance and repairs.

In Salerno, AUSINO S. p. A. and Sistemi Salerno – Servizi Idrici S. p. A. announced an emergency repair to a supplementary supply line. The suspension affects various hilly areas, including Ogliara, Montecasino, and Giovi. Service is expected to be restored by approximately 23:00, depending on repair completion and pipe refilling times.

In Messina, AMAM has scheduled a 12-hour water shutdown on Tuesday, October 27, to perform maintenance and upgrades on the Fiumefreddo supply line. The interruption of flow from the Torrerossa plant is expected to last from 09:00 to 21:00, with potential distribution impacts in the city center and northern zones following the restart. AMAM will provide 24-hour water distribution points at strategic locations and deploy water tankers, prioritizing sensitive users and healthcare facilities.
