Water services restored in Sorrento Peninsula after pipeline repairs

Water services have been restored in the Sorrento Peninsula following the repair of a major structural fault. Technicians from Gori completed work on a 550mm diameter pipeline, known as the DN 550 Fratte II – Rubinacci, located in the Vico Equense area. The repair was complicated by difficult terrain and a high density of surrounding utility lines. The restoration of the flow ensures regular service for the municipalities of Sorrento, Sant’Agnello, and Vico Equense.

In a separate scheduled interruption in Nocera Superiore, water supply was suspended for several hours, leading Mayor Gennaro D’Acunzi to close three schools to maintain hygienic and sanitary standards. Gori provided water tankers to mitigate the impact on residents during the outage.
