Water shortages affect residents in several Polish districts

Residents in several Polish districts are facing prolonged water supply disruptions due to ongoing infrastructure repairs. In the Łubowiec district, residents have been without hot water since August 24, with service expected to remain interrupted until September 4 due to works at the Jaworznicki Economic Area.

In the Kamień and Książenice areas, residents have experienced low pressure or total water loss for several days. Górnośląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów (GPW) announced that repair work on Polna Street in Czerwionka-Leszczyny must be extended, with a new estimated completion time set for August 31.

Affected residents report significant difficulties with daily hygiene and household tasks, often resorting to heating water in pots or kettles. While water tankers have been deployed in some areas, locals have expressed frustration, noting that tankers do not adequately address the need for running water for bathing and laundry.
