Water sports and boat rentals see seasonal activity in Czech Republic

Water-based recreational activities and competitions saw significant activity in the Czech Republic. In Hodonín, the tenth annual Dragon Boat Race took place at the rowing club area on the Morava River, featuring a carnival theme.

In Bohumín, municipal boat rentals reported a successful season. At Vrbické jezero, interest in watercraft grew by one-third year-on-year, with 679 rentals recorded following an earlier seasonal start in June. Pedal boats were the most popular option. Meanwhile, rentals on the Odra river in Starý Bohumín saw 918 participants complete the six-kilometer route, despite a temporary suspension of service due to low water levels caused by dry weather in August.
