Water supplies restored in Cuarte and Sorbas
Water supplies have returned to normal in the Spanish municipalities of Cuarte and Sorbas following recent infrastructure issues.
In Cuarte, the Huesca City Council announced that water is once again safe for human consumption. Organoleptic analyses conducted on the distribution network confirmed that restrictions on water use can be lifted. The situation follows a period of instability and complaints from local residents regarding service interruptions.
In Sorbas, the local government reported that the water supply has stabilized after repairs to the Larache borehole. A new pump was installed to replace the damaged unit, allowing water to flow back into the reservoir. During the repair period, which began on August 22, the municipality utilized water tankers and implemented water-saving measures, including nighttime shutdowns, to maintain essential service levels.
