Water supply shortages affect Sarajevo and Niš

Significant water supply disruptions are affecting multiple regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. In Sarajevo, KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija has implemented emergency measures, including pressure reductions and service interruptions, to protect hydro-mechanical equipment due to low water source yields and high consumption. Affected neighborhoods include Grbavica, Hrasno, Dobrinja, and several others. Residents in Nova Vogošća have reported prolonged outages lasting over a month, leading to concerns over damaged household appliances.

In Niš, Serbia, JKP Naissus announced scheduled maintenance and repairs on the water and sewage network. These works are expected to cause water outages in the Duvanište and Durlan neighborhoods, as well as in Donje Vlase and Dolac, with service interruptions lasting until mid-afternoon.

Additionally, residents in Lješanska nahija, Montenegro, are demanding improved infrastructure, specifically regarding road access and water supply stability, following discussions with local government officials.
