Waterbury Historical Society and Denver Water propose rule updates

The Waterbury Historical Society has released proposed amendments to its bylaws and an annual budget for member review ahead of an upcoming annual meeting. The proposed bylaw changes aim to improve organizational operations, clarify roles for board members, officers, and committees, and strengthen financial oversight and accountability. Additionally, the updates seek to modernize membership provisions, including the establishment of clearer meeting procedures and the allowance for remote participation.

Separately, Denver Water’s Board of Water Commissioners has reviewed proposed updates to the agency’s operating rules. The revisions include technical adjustments to tap connection language, the removal of specific terminology regarding penalties, and clarifications regarding the ownership and maintenance of conduits and water mains. The updates also address drought management, specifically revising rules for Stage 1 and Stage 2 drought conditions concerning the irrigation of various plant types and commercial properties.
