Waterford arson attack: Two charged in English family murders

Two people have been charged in connection with a fatal arson attack in Waterford, Ireland, that killed four members of the English family. Philip and Kim English, along with their children Callum, 12, and Jayden, 9, died following a petrol-bomb attack on their home in the Birchwood Estate early on Tuesday morning.

A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s were arrested on suspicion of involvement with a criminal organization. Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly reported that significant progress has been made, including seven searches and the seizure of a vehicle and electronic devices. Investigators believe the attack may be linked to drug-related debts.

Two other children from the family remain in critical condition in the hospital. A joint funeral for the four deceased family members is scheduled to take place this coming Monday.
