Waterloo Region District School Board announces 2026-2027 school start
The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) has released information regarding the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Students are scheduled to return to classes on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
For elementary students, parents and caregivers can access classroom assignments through the School-Day platform starting Monday, September 7, 2026. Alternatively, class lists will be available at individual schools on the first day of classes.
Student transportation schedules are currently available through Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region (STSWR). The board has also noted that specific school information will be distributed through regular school channels and that certain paperwork must be completed and returned at the start of the year.
