Watinuksung Jamir appointed Indian cricket team manager for Sri Lanka tour

Watinuksung Jamir, the President of the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), has been appointed as the Team Manager for the Indian cricket team during their upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The tour, which includes a practice match and a two-match Test series, is scheduled to take place from August 7 to August 27, 2026.

This appointment marks the first time a cricket administrator from Nagaland has been selected for a managerial role with the national team on an international tour. The NCA stated the selection recognizes Jamir's leadership and his contributions to the development of cricket within the state.
