Wave fitness network to invest R$ 100 million in Brazilian expansion

Wave, a premium fitness network based in Santa Catarina, Brazil, has announced a R$ 100 million investment plan to expand its operations over the next three years. The company intends to open 10 new units in coastal cities, including Bombinhas, Porto Belo, Camboriú, Balneário Camboriú, Itajaí, and Navegantes.

This expansion aims to more than triple the company's student base from 15,000 to 50,000 and increase annual revenue by 140%, rising from R$ 50 million to R$ 120 million. As part of its high-end strategy, Wave plans to launch a super-luxury unit in Balneário Camboriú between late 2027 and early 2028. This specific location will feature a monthly fee of R$ 3,000, a limited capacity of 500 students, and a high staff-to-client ratio of one instructor for every three members, alongside beauty services and specialized amenities.

CEO Marcos Gracher stated that the company is targeting a growing consumer segment focused on health, longevity, and quality of life, rather than competing in the low-cost gym market.
