Wavestone acquires Sand Cherry to expand North American presence

Wavestone has acquired Denver-based Sand Cherry, a business consulting firm specializing in enterprise transformation. The acquisition, announced on September 14, 2026, adds approximately 130 permanent employees to Wavestone’s North American platform.

Sand Cherry, founded in 2001, brings expertise in the Telecom, Broadband, Media, Energy, and Utilities sectors, serving numerous Fortune 200 clients. The firm has reported an average annual growth of over 15% during the last three fiscal years and is targeting approximately $31.5 million in revenue for fiscal year 2026.

The deal is a key component of Wavestone’s ‘Lead the shift’ strategic plan, which prioritizes expansion in the United States through 2030. Following the acquisition, Wavestone’s North American workforce will total roughly 370 employees distributed across cities including Denver, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Washington DC.
