Wawrzynki and Wolbrom host summer festivals with concerts and sports competitions
The town of Wawrzynki in Greater Poland will celebrate its historic Wawrzynki festival from 8 to 16 August. The programme mixes religious rites, cultural performances and sport events, including a family run, a night beach‑volleyball tournament, a shooting competition and an organ concert featuring Professor Radosław Marzec of the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music. Mayor Jacek Szczap urged residents of all ages to take part and highlighted the unifying role of sport.
In the nearby town of Wolbrom, the annual Dni Wolbromia will take place from 21 to 24 August 2026. The four‑day celebration features concerts by well‑known Polish pop acts such as CLEO and GRUBSON, as well as a range of sporting activities – football, volleyball, swimming and bridge tournaments – and family‑friendly shows for children. Organisers stress that the event aims to provide entertainment for residents and visitors of every age.
