Waylander announces new album ‘Mac Tíre – Son of the Land’

Northern Irish pagan metal band Waylander has announced the release of their new nine-track album, ‘Mac Tíre – Son of the Land’, scheduled for November 6, 2026, via Rockshots Records.

The band has introduced the upcoming record with the first single, ‘Macha’, which is accompanied by an official music video. The new material continues the group's long-standing style of blending extreme metal with traditional Irish instrumentation and pagan themes.

The album title, ‘Mac Tíre’, translates to ‘son of the land’ and is the Irish term for wolf. According to band member Ard Chieftain O’Hagan, the single ‘Macha’ is dedicated to an ancient goddess associated with the band's home region and county.
