Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana to keynote CES 2027

Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at CES 2027 on January 6. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced that Mawakana will discuss the future of autonomous driving and how the company maintains safety standards while expanding its fleet and international presence.

Waymo currently provides over 500,000 rides per week using its autonomous driving system, which aims to address global traffic safety issues. The company has recently expanded its operations to Las Vegas, marking its 15th market in the United States. During the event, Waymo will showcase how it integrates artificial intelligence and robotics to transition autonomous technology from a novelty into a daily utility for commuters, the elderly, and those with mobility challenges.
