Wayne County absentee ballots contain printing error

A printing error has been discovered on absentee ballots sent to voters in several Wayne County, Michigan, communities. The error specifically affects the portion of the ballot regarding the Belleville Area District Library Board.

Wayne County Elections notified officials of the mistake, which impacts all absentee voters in Belleville, Sumpter, and Van Buren Township. In response, officials stated that new absentee ballots will be printed and mailed to the affected residents. These replacement ballots will include additional instructions to assist voters.

The error was identified ahead of the November 3 election. The affected areas are located in southwest Wayne County, near the Detroit Metro Airport.
